Professor Dorota Werbińska Visits the Department of English Language Teaching

From 13 April 2026 to 26 April 2026, Dr Dorota Werbińska, Professor at the University of Pomerania in Słupsk, was hosted by the Institute of English Studies for a research stay under the academic supervision of Dr hab. Joanna Rokita-Jaśkow, Professor at UKEN. Professor Werbińska is a distinguished scholar whose research focuses on the professional identity development of foreign language teachers.

During her visit, Professor Werbińska gave a lecture to students enrolled in the teacher-training specialization entitled ‘From a Language Teacher Candidate to a Late-Career Teacher: Focus on Teacher Challenges and Resources over Time’. She also collected data for her research project on the development of teacher identity in later adulthood.
