Study Visit to the USA by Dr Sabina Nowak within the ENGAGE Project

Between 19 and 31 May 2025, as part of the project “ENGAGE for Well-being: Enhancing Next Gen AI and XR Augmented Education and Global Expertise to Foster Well-being”, Dr Sabina Nowak conducted a study visit to the United States. The visit was carried out with financial support from the Initiative of Excellence – Research University (IDUB 02).

At the invitation of Dr Regina Kaplan-Rakowski from the University of North Texas (UNT), Dr Nowak completed an intensive training programme focused on the application of XR technologies (VR, AR, MR) in education and research, held on the UNT campus.

In addition, Dr Nowak actively participated in the international CALICO conference “Converging Realities and Realms of Possibility”, hosted by San Diego State University (California), where she delivered a presentation as part of the panel “Virtual Realities and Intercultural Competences in Language Learning”.

The visit was funded through IDUB 02’s Excellent Small Working Groups programme, priority areas POB 2 and POB 3.
