eTwinning Training for Second-Year MA Students

As part of the Online Projects course, second-year MA students took part in a training session devoted to eTwinning and the possibilities it offers for designing and implementing international online educational projects. The session was conducted by Ms Monika Wójtowicz, MA, a certified teacher of English and Polish, and an author and co-author of international eTwinning educational projects.

During the meeting, students were introduced to the practical aspects of working with the eTwinning platform, including project planning, establishing cooperation between schools, creating a project space, and engaging learners in communicative, intercultural, and digital activities. Particular attention was given to the ways in which online projects can support the development of language skills, collaboration, creativity, and learners’ responsibility for their own learning process.

Monika Wójtowicz is a certified English and Polish teacher with extensive pedagogical experience. She graduated in Polish Philology from the Jagiellonian University, specialising in teaching, and in English Philology from the University of the National Education Commission in Kraków, specialising in English language teaching methodology and digital teaching. Her professional and research interests focus on teaching speaking and writing skills and on the use of digital technologies in education.

She has gained experience working with students in primary schools, middle schools, secondary schools, and with adult learners. In her teaching practice, she focuses on innovative teaching methods, the development of students’ communicative competences, and the creation of modern digital materials and e-learning solutions. Her MA thesis on the use of LEGO® blocks in English language teaching formed the basis for the article “Teaching Writing Skills with LEGO® Blocks,” published in the Journal of Language and Culture in Education in 2025.

For nearly ten years, Ms Wójtowicz also worked in the United Kingdom in administration and document management for the banking and insurance sectors, developing strong organisational, analytical, and linguistic skills. She is an examiner of the Polish Matura exam, a co-founder of the Myślenice Association of English Teachers MELTA, and an active promoter of international educational projects.

We would like to thank Ms Monika Wójtowicz for an inspiring and highly practical training session, and for sharing her experience in eTwinning projects, digital education, and modern language teaching with our students.
