Between 16 and 20 June 2025, Dr. Sabina A. Nowak from the Department of Didactics at the University of National Education Commission in Kraków participated in a teaching mobility at Suleyman Demirel University in Turkey under the ERASMUS+ programme.

The aim of the mobility was to strengthen international collaboration and exchange knowledge in the field of positive psychology and well-being in English language teaching. The visit contributed to integrating the principles of positive psychology into language education, supporting the development of engaging and supportive learning environments.

During the visit, Dr. Nowak carried out the following activities:

  • delivered a guest lecture titled “Positive Psychology and Well-being in English Language Teaching” (poster),
  • conducted teaching sessions for first-, second- and third-year students (photos),
  • participated in meetings with the Erasmus coordinator, the head of department, and academic staff – discussions focused on future cooperation, student exchange opportunities, and potential joint research projects (photo).

The added value of the mobility aligns with the strategic goals of both institutions, which promote innovative, evidence-based pedagogical approaches in language teaching. The visit contributed to:

  • enhancing teaching practices in English language education through the implementation of positive psychology principles,
  • strengthening academic cooperation between the institutions,
  • increasing students’ awareness of well-being and its impact on motivation and success in language learning,
  • identifying potential areas for joint research and academic exchange programmes.

Congratulations on this successful mobility, and thank you for actively representing our Department on the international stage!
