ERASMUS+ Visit: Laura Loder Buechel and Esther Graf, October 21-24, 2024

From October 21-24, 2024, the Department of Didactics at the Institute of English Studies hosted representatives from the Zurich University of Teacher Education, Switzerland.

Ms. Laura Loder Buechel and Ms. Esther Graf conducted workshops focused on teaching speaking skills to children in grades 1-8. Additionally, they delivered a lecture on academic writing, highlighting the differences between formal and informal styles and the use of artificial intelligence in this process.

During the event, they also presented new directions in teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), including:

  • CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning),
  • task- and project-based teaching,
  • the impact of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on education,
  • the development of online learning.

The event attracted significant interest from both students and faculty members.
