Erasmus Visit by Prof. Anna Tóthné Litovkina from J. Selye University
In the week of June 3-7, 2024, Prof. Anna Tóthné Litovkina from J. Selye University visited our TEFL training programme. Prof. Tóthné Litovkina delivered two insightful lectures for our pre-service EFL teachers and IFA staff.
Prof. Tóthné Litovkina’s first lecture, “Language Learning Strategies of EFL Learners. How to Develop a Growth Mindset?”, focused on effective language learning strategies and the importance of fostering a growth mindset in students. She shared practical guidance on how to facilitate various innovative learning strategies (affective, social, metacognitive, memory-related to name only a few). This lecture provided our attendees with valuable insights into promoting well-being in the classroom.
In her second lecture, titled “The Psychology of Joy, Happiness, and Stress-Free Life,” Prof. Tóthné Litovkina addressed the psychological aspects of achieving joy, happiness, and a stress-free life. She shared strategies for managing stress and cultivating a positive, fulfilling professional and personal life. The tools and techniques she presented were well-received and are expected to enhance the well-being and productivity of our educators.
Prof. Tóthné Litovkina’s visit, facilitated by the Erasmus programme, underscores our commitment to international collaboration and professional development.
